BND provides a safekeeping service for U.S. Treasury securities, federal agency securities, corporate bonds, tax-free bonds, money market investments and mortgage-backed securities.
This service includes the receipt and delivery of securities, the timely payment of principal and interest and the processing of transactions.
BND will hold securities for correspondents' banks and financial institutions.
Our service includes processing all interest and principal payments. Customers
may request a monthly listing of their assets held in safekeeping.
BND will hold investments pledged as security for the repayment of public
deposits. As part of this service, BND will assist with the execution of
the Pledge Agreement that is required for designated public deposits.
In accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 21-04-09, BND will hold a pool of securities pledged to several pledgees. Pledge Pool Agreements with proper signature pages are provided by BND.
